Plant Engineering across a complex technical production environmentPlant EngineerLocation - Burton-On-TrentPermanent | £50,000 p.a. + BenefitsAre you a hands-on Plant Engineer who enjoys improving equipment reliability, driving operational performance, and delivering continuous improvement projects?We are working with a well-established manufacturing business seeking a Plant Engineer to take ownership of plant performance, maintenance strategy, and process optimisation across a busy production operation.This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact through engineering excellence, equipment improvement, and operational efficiency.The OpportunityAs Plant Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and optimising plant and production equipment while supporting operational teams to achieve world-class performance standards.Key responsibilities include:Maintaining and improving plant machinery and equipment reliabilityDeveloping and managing preventative maintenance programmesIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement initiativesCommissioning, optimising, and upgrading plant equipmentReducing downtime, waste, and operational costsAnalysing equipment and process performance to identify improvement opportunitiesSupporting the introduction of new technologies and engineering solutionsManaging contractors and ensuring compliance with site safety proceduresCollaborating with Operations, Engineering, and external suppliers to deliver improvementsDriving a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the siteAbout YouWe are keen to speak with engineers who possess:Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, or similarStrong knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance systems, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience within a manufacturing, production, process, industrial, food, agricultural, or FMCG environmentExcellent problem-solving and fault-finding capabilitiesA proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for engineering improvementStrong hands-on engineering skill setHNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification preferredWhy Join?This is an excellent opportunity to join a business committed to investing in its people, equipment, and manufacturing capabilities.
