About the Role We are searching for an Employment Lawyer who will partner with the GB HR team on a range of high-quality work - both contentious and non-contentious. We are now looking to recruit at senior level and want a lawyer who is passionate about employment law and is keen to make their mark and help drive things forward. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a range of cases on issues such as redundancies, disciplinary and grievances, settlement agreements, TUPE, absence management, a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims. Job Opportunity What you will do… Working as an advisor to the HR Teams, as an in-house subject matter expert. Build strong working relationship with HR Business Partners and HR advisors to give legal advice, and support in employment cases.Managing, assessing merits of potential claims through the ACAS early conciliation process.Managing employment tribunals claims from receipt of claim to full merits hearing.Conducting advocacy at preliminary hearings and full merit hearings, where appropriate.Providing expert, ethical and pragmatic advice on a wide range of employee relation matters, including support during case management in grievance and disciplinary processes.Providing legal support in respect of employment contracts, settlement agreements and any other types of employment agreements as required.Managing employment and litigation issues, including settling disputes and supervising any agreements as required. Providing legal support regarding Subject Access Requests and Data Requests, working closely HR.Developing, providing, and delivering employment law guidance and training as required.Collaborate with HR and provide support with the drafting of any UK employment policies as required to ensure compliance.Proactively identify arising risk areas within the UK and work with HR to develop risk mitigation solutions.Provide employment law support in relation to restructuring/reorganisation and TUPE.Provide legal support to HR in respect of interactions with unions and other employee representative bodies.To be the single point of contact for external legal support to drive consistency and cost efficiency in external legal advice.Review, analyse, and keep current on legal developments affecting employment law matters.Embeds a compliance culture within the business by ensuring adherence to Securitas's ethics and compliance standards.Ensuring Securitas's values of Integrity, Helpfulness, and Vigilance are actively applied in all initiatives. Essential Skills What you will need... UK Legal qualification.UK/ EU citizen or valid work permit.Expert knowledge of UK employment law and practice.Extensive employment law experience as in-house expert for advice to HR.Knowledge and understanding of key business, legal and compliance issues within security would be a bonus but is not essential.Experience in interacting and negotiating with trade unions and other employee representative bodies.Proven operational experience working with virtual and regional teams.Track-record of leading planning process with robust project management, organisational and collaboration skills.Sound judgement to manage conflicting priorities and manage client expectations.Fluent in written and verbal business English. Excellent working knowledge of upto-date employment legislation and its application in practice.Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities.
