This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in electronic assembly who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of assembly activities, including PCB assembly, cable assembly, electro-mechanical build, and product rework. You will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while meeting customer specifications and production deadlines. This position would suit someone with a positive, proactive attitude who is equally comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out PCBA assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering. Complete cable assembly work using various crimping tools and techniques. Perform electro-mechanical assembly of products and sub-assemblies. Interpret and work from Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and assembly instructions. Ensure all assembly work is completed in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department. Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience in an electronic assembly or manufacturing environment. Good understanding of IPC-A-610 standards. Strong soldering skills.Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. The OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer operating within a high-reliability electronics environment. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Inspector to join their Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with experience inspecting electronic assemblies, PCBAs, and finished products within a regulated manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out visual and functional inspections of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, wiring, and finished products. Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections throughout the manufacturing process. Verify products against engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and quality standards. Identify component, assembly, and cosmetic defects, including soldering faults, placement errors, and wiring discrepancies. Use inspection equipment including microscopes and vernier callipers. Complete quality documentation accurately and maintain full product traceability. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required and support corrective action activities. Assist with root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with IPC standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures. Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment. Candidate RequirementsEssentialPrevious experience within an electronics manufacturing or inspection role. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Good understanding of electronic components and PCB assemblies. Experience of quality inspection techniques and processes. IPC-A-610 certification. Experience using microscopes, measuring equipment, and electronic test equipment. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Experience working within aerospace, defence, or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors.
