Key Responsibilities Installation: Install smart meter electronic devices safely and efficiently at various client locations nationwide. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to device performance and connectivity. First-Line Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for technical queries and support during installations. Training: Train new installers on the correct installation processes and device operations. Quality Control: Monitor and assess installation quality, ensuring company standards are upheld. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, issues encountered, and resolutions provided. Observation: Proactively identify and escalate observations or events that need to be considered or assessed by the technical, customer support and sales teams Key Requirements Certified Electrician (UK): Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365/2391). Technical Aptitude: Proficient in working with IoT electronic devices, including installation and troubleshooting, Wi-Fi fault finding including configuring Wi-Fi routers and awareness of IP and MAC addresses and ports and simple firewalls, IP networking knowledge including ping, tracert and preferably TCP/UDP and RS232/RS485 awareness including Baud rate and parity. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues effectively. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to interact with clients and team members. Attention to Detail: Ensuring all installations meet safety and performance standards. Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively across the UK. Driving License: Full, clean UK driving license.
