Electrical Engineer - Building Services - Events and Conference Venue - East London - up to £50k + bonus & benefits We’re on the hunt for a Building Services Electrical Engineer, with a relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications to City & Guilds standard, and further industry qualifications as listed below, to join a leading exhibition space / venue that welcomes 4 million visitors annually. C&G 2360 Electrical (level 2)/ Equivalent C&G 233017th Edition IEE Regulations qualifiedC&G 2391 Inspection & Testing/Equivalent C&G 2394/5C&G 2377-12 Portable Appliance Testing Reporting to the Building Services Manager, the Electrical Engineer will become an integral part of the multi-disciplinary Building Services team who are responsible for the maintenance and operational undertaking of the venue. Key responsibilities as the Electrical Engineer will include: Delivering effective maintenance and electrical services support and reactive, planned preventive maintenance, inspection and testing tasksEnsuring all electrical services are delivered safely and reliably, including assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical, electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power toolsDiagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment to locate causes of breakdown and identifying correction of problemsInspection of electrical systems to identify potential hazards and defects and priority of repair, complying with industry codes (escalating to the manager when appropriate)Implementing plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based upon job specifications in close liaison with electrical building services staff, electrical staff, electrical contractors and the wider technical services teamCompleting and returning PPM, Reactive and Manifest job sheets, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, timesheets and safety or work permitsWorking closely with electrical services contractors and technical services department to ensure customer satisfaction is maintainedAssisting the Lead Technician and Manager in ensuring that all relevant testing procedures are carried out correctly to ensure compliance with statutory regulationsAssisting the Lead Technician and Building Services Manager to maintain the stock list of electrical equipment, ensuring consistent delivery of servicesAssisting with Quality Assurance (QA) audits in conjunction with the Building Services ManagerEnsuring statutory and legislative compliance is met at all times What we’re looking for: Demonstrable experience working as an Electrical EngineerC&G 2360 Electrical (level 2)/ Equivalent C&G 233017th Edition IEE Regulations qualifiedC&G 2391 Inspection & Testing/Equivalent C&G 2394/5C&G 2377-12 Portable Appliance TestingFamiliar with principles of critical recovery systemsGood written and oral communication skills and able to present information in a clear and concise fashion to engineering and client levelsAwareness of Health & Safety practices required to enable the safe operation of the plant and to carry out planned maintenance and fault findingSound knowledge of M&E maintenance regimes, including work instructions, asset history, documentation proceduresUnderstanding of basic energy monitoring and targeting processesSound BMS knowledgePC literate and able to use Microsoft packagesCOSHH awarenessWater treatment (L8) knowledge would also be of benefitBasic HV knowledge would also be desirable Please note: This is working pattern 4 on 4 off including nights Interested in this Building Services Electrical Engineer opportunity?
