Education Services Coordinator
The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple have an exciting opportunity for an Education Services Coordinator to join their dedicated team. Location: London (EC4Y 9BT) Salary: £29,000 - £30,000 per annum Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 37.5 per week (occasional evenings and weekend work) Close Date: 30th September at 10:00am About Us: Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court which have the exclusive right to call men and women to the Bar i.e. to confer the degree of Barrister on those who have met the necessary requirements, which entitles them, after a period of pupillage (vocational training) to practise as Barristers. The Inn holds numerous events and functions throughout the year and is also available for private hire. Middle Temple is also jointly responsible with Inner Temple for the Temple Church. Education Services Coordinator – The role: Working closely with the Education Services Manager, Director of Education Services, colleagues in the Education team and from across the organisation, to provide reception services to visitors, callers, guests, and administrative services to colleagues as required. The main responsibility for this role will be overseeing the administration for Call to the Bar and any disciplinary matters. Education Services Coordinator – Key Responsibilities: - Process and manage Call to the Bar applications, including checks and records, and organise Call ceremonies. - Handle disciplinary matters for members, including referrals, record-keeping, and issuing certificates. - Manage Temporary Call, Re-admission, and Ad Eundem applications - Provide administrative support for membership, including card issuance, data entry, and handling enquiries. - Assist with other general administrative and other tasks as required by for the Education Services team Education Services Coordinator – Person specification: - Specialised knowledge of a relevant function trade, or craft (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ-3 or equivalent) - Experience of a similar working environment and/or understanding of the workings of the Middle Temple or other not-for-profit organisations - IT Literate with experience using databases, Microsoft Office and other computerised systems - Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and have excellent personal and communication skills - Able to prioritise, multi-task and effectively plan work to meet deadlines - Confident in managing own workload with minimal supervision - Provide support, instruction, and guidance to colleagues as required - Ability to be flexible and attend work events or meetings outside of schedule if required Education Services Coordinator – Benefits: - Generous Annual leave entitlements - Life Assurance - Employee Assistance Programme (online resources and access to confidential counselling services) - Private Medical Insurance (including gym membership) - Medical Cashback Scheme (e.g. for dental, optical) - Generous Pension (12% employer contribution) - Season Ticket Loans - Access to a Range of Learning & Development Opportunities - Opportunity to join our dedicated team and work in a beautiful, unique, and historical setting in central London Application Process: Middle Temple is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
