They are a dedicated Family Law team and is recognised for its expertise and professionalism — accredited by the Law Society for Family Law Advanced and united under Resolution. They are a respected network of family lawyers committed to reducing conflict and promoting constructive solutions. Day-to-day of the role: Handle family law cases including separation, divorce, finances upon divorce, children matter, and domestic violence injunctions.Draft legal documentation such as Cohabitation Agreements and Prenuptial Agreements.Manage financial control with particular attention to cash flow through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.Provide assistance to other fee earners within the office/firm as required, especially during periods of absence.Minimise risk by managing all work in accordance with the firm’s risk and file management procedures.Carry out all work in line with procedures and systems documented in the Office Manual and the firm’s training seminars.Supervise fee-earning work undertaken by colleagues. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent.Expertise in all aspects of family law.Likely to be 2 years PQE upwards, although this level is a guide only.Ability to manage own caseload independently with or without support staff.Proficient in using the firm’s practice and case management systems.Ability to assist with the marketing of the department.Capable of billing clients in accordance with notified charging rates and achieving financial targets.Strong IT skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Dependable and flexible to business needs, including occasional overtime and weekend work.
