Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessonsAssist in the development of a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment with the supportWork with individual children or small groups to support their learning and development, acting as an Early Years Teaching AssistantObserve and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher as an Early Years Teaching AssistantHelp with general classroom management and ensuring the wellbeing of the childrenEncourage positive behaviour and promote the values of the school in your capacity as an Early Years Teaching AssistantSupport the social, emotional, and physical needs of children Person Specification: Experience working with children in an Early Years setting is desirable for an Early Years Teaching AssistantA passion for working with young children and supporting their developmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals as an Early Years Teaching AssistantA proactive and adaptable approach to work is important for the role of Early Years Teaching AssistantA relevant childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Childcare) would be an advantage but not essential for an Early Years Teaching AssistantEnhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
