University of Derby Student Union JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Dynamics 365 Consultant (CRM) Reporting to Consultancy Team Lead Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose of Role As a Dynamics 365 & Power Platform (CRM) consultant you will work with TES customers to upskill them in the use of standard applications and complete effective and knowledgeable consultancy sessions. The output of these consultancy sessions may be the identification and functional description of configuration and Dynamics 365 Consultant (CRM) change requirements as appropriate to ensure that TES customers receive maximum benefit from the solutions we provide. You will work closely with other consultants, developers, and project managers to ensure effective project delivery. As well as delivering consultancy sessions, other project activities will form part of your role including configuration & customisation activities where appropriate, application testing, solution handovers and UAT support as well as contributions to project meetings as required. You will liaise effectively with all company departments to ensure that Customer expectations are managed and exceeded in line with project deadlines, company service level agreements and quality standards. As a member of the consultancy team, you will provide feedback and suggestions to assist with improving company best practices and enhancing the customer experience. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Key Tasks * Deliver clear application training to client key users UK wide during projects using standard, provided training materials. * Proactively flag risks and barriers during application training that may impact on project deadlines, sign posting to the correct escalation channel. * Follow TES methodology and project planning to ensure delivery of service in line with company service level agreements and quality standards. * Work to agreed deadlines in line with SLAs and effectively manage customer expectations. * Carry out essential project tasks such as GAP analysis, effective product handovers and signing off project milestones, verifying that configuration is appropriate based on client requirements and expectations. * Scope changes to standard functionality identifying where clients need to extend functionality of the standard application. * Expertly handle client software concerns and problems whilst on site identifying scenarios whereby clients have processes that can't be handled within the standard application - feeding back to the project management team as appropriate. * Work both independently and with other members of the consultancy team feeding back client information to ensure excellent customer service. * Carry out application testing and UAT support in line with company service level agreements and quality standards. * Effectively assist clients to configure D365, carrying out Full system walkthroughs as required, attending client sites UK wide as required in line with business need. * Effectively liaise with other Company departments including the project management team to feedback client concerns and ensure timely resolution in line with company service level agreements and quality standards. * Effectively contribute to business focus areas by providing constructive feedback on internal processes to improve Company best practice. * Out of hours work as and when required in line with project requirements including late nights and weekends. * Performance will be measured against utilisation targets and joint targets for project delivery. General for all staff * The principle roles and responsibilities will change from time to time and the post holder is required to undertake any additional duties as deemed appropriate. * Staff must always adopt and endorse the company's Mission Statement and all supporting policies, across all aspects of the role. * Staff are required to have a Personal Development plan and to participate in training, meetings or conferences considered relevant to their job. * Staff must carry out their duties with full regard to the rules policies and procedures and conditions of service contained in the staff handbook * To abide by the company's policies and procedures * To adhere to all health and safety legislation * To undertake any other task that is deemed reasonable within your skill set Person Specification * Proven experience with Dynamics 365 CE 'first- party' applications as well as The Power Platform as an implementation consultant * Excellent problem solving ability with outstanding analytical skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Solution based and customer focused * Excellent teamworking skills * Acute attention to detail * Significant experience in 1st and 2nd line support * Significant knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE (CRM) systems and The Power Platform * Experience in partner channel desired * Desire to progress your skills through attaining Microsoft certification * Proven experience in Design, Documentation, Install, Configuration, Testing, Training and Go Live * Experience with data migration activities and tools * Ability to work to strict deadlines with excellent time management skills
