Class 1 Driver

If so, we have a great opportunity for you!Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a versatile Class 1 Driver to join our team in Hinckley.You’ll be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods such as lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK for our client Octopus. This is a full-time, permanent position, working on a Monday to Friday pattern, with a start time window of 05:00 to 06:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.Pay, benefits and more:An annual salary of £42,577.00 paid monthly25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysWorkplace pensionAccess to our Hapi App platform, offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!Opportunities for career development and progression, as well as training enrichment and multiskilling, in a dynamic working environment What you’ll do on a typical day:Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sitesCarry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all timesAccurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required)Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contactsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licenceValid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph CardADR licence, minimum class 9 - miscellaneous dangerous substances, with packages preferredPrevious experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable)Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and excellent customer serviceAbility to work independently with a professional approachWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chainsGXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
