Role: Head of Digital Location: Colchester (2 days per month) Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE Are you a results driven Head of Digital with knowledge of the Public Sector? We're working with one of the region's largest public sector organisations as they look to expand their senior management team with the addition of an experienced Head of Digital. Responsibilities: To be the Head of the ICT profession and lead, direct, manage and review the ICT Team including the recruitment, development and retention of high-performing staff to ensure the delivery of resilient, high quality, customer-focused services in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner in line with policies and legislationBe accountable to the Senior Leadership Board and to Colchester Borough Homes' Directors Management Team and Board for leading the development and delivery of clear over-arching ICT, telephony, digital and online strategies in consultation with the Senior Leadership Team, Managers and partners.Ensure robust ICT security to prevent data breaches and ensure the continued security of software, data and infrastructure.Transform how we work internally using technology to drive the right outcomes for our residents, communities and businesses and lead all digital aspects of the transformation programme.Ensure all other aspects of the transformation programme are enabled by the Digital Devices.Lead and manage the Digital Service to deliver agreed levels of customer performanceManage the team's Human Resources in terms of performance, development, attendance and health and safety.Manage the financial and physical resources of the services within agreed budget levelsTo build elected member and board member confidence in the clients abilities to meet the needs of internal users and communities through effective relationships.Be responsible for the collection, maintenance and integrity of personal data ensuring confidentiality is maintained and data is processed in an accountable manner. Comply with our data protection policies and procedures to ensure we meet our legal responsibilities under data protection legislation. Ensure a wide understanding of this legislation in the Digital Service and that it meets compliance requirements.
