Data Scientist - Hybrid (Derby) We are working with a large hospitality company who are looking to add a Data Scientist to their team to work across customer data. The data scientist will be involved in end-end deployment, building propensity, customer segmentation and CLV models to analyse the behaviour of customers and to work closely with marketing to inform decisions. Responsibilities: Partner with the wider IT teams to ensure requirements and solutions are implemented effectively Develop a range of data science solutions from statistical models to customer segmentations Drive development of data science models and best practices to align with the move towards a data led company#Mentor and manage the junior data scientists on the team The role is one day a week in Burton

This role can be full-time or part-time offering excellent benefits and a salary circa £40,000. As a Materials Scientist, you will report to the Project Lead / Principal Scientist, conducting research and experiments to enhance material properties, applying theoretical principles, and collaborating with experts to develop innovative solutions. You will be responsible for: Conducting experiments and testing both new and existing materials.Developing new hypotheses and experimental techniques to enhance material understanding.Refining material deposition and processing methods to optimise performance.Analysing results against theoretical models and literature.Modelling material or device properties to predict application performance.Engaging with external experts and research institutions to expand capabilities.Contributing to intellectual property development through innovative solutions. What we are looking for: Previously worked as a Materials Scientist, Research Scientist, Physicist, Materials Engineer, Materials, Researcher, Research Associate or in a similar role.Experience in conducting experiments on novel materials or devices.Background in the development of new hypotheses for improving material properties.Degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering, with a PhD in a related field.Strong academic grounding in physics, with expertise in material properties.Ideally have experience in incorporating materials into test structures to demonstrate desired functional properties and modelling material properties or their performance in device structures.
