The role operates as a direct report to the Senior Production Scientists and liaising with the Technical Production Scientist and Technical Specialist within the Life Sciences team. The analytical service meets the requirements of the ISO 17025 – General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories and is also United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited. The Scientist is a scientific and technically competent individual who is adept in all aspects of the work undertaken with some specialist skills as well as working as part of a team, supporting efficient workflow and reporting of results. The role operates within a laboratory production environment and requires a flexible approach to working hours including some cover for weekend/Bank holiday's and emergency standby/call out.
