Exclusive role - Finance Director - PE backed tech scale-up - Wokingham (hybrid working) - c.£125k + 20% bonus Cedar have been retained by a mid-market Private Equity firm in search of a CFO for an exciting and profitable business in the tech space. Having recently completed on an acquisition which will increase revenue by 25%, the current CFO has announced retirement for next year, so the business is looking to hire an ambitious hands-on Finance Director to replace the CFO - and take the business on its next journey of growth and a transaction in several years time. This is a strategic CFO role as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, partnering an incredible customer facing CEO/Founder, performing due diligence on potential M&A and support business cases to increase revenue streams. You will also partner several key c-suite/MD level commercial stakeholders, and manage a small team which you will develop and scale. The business operates UK-wide with several offices (no need for travel), but you will need to be comfortable working in a multi-entity organisation with several brands and revenue streams. You will be the link between the company and the PE firm so you will need the confidence to present both internally to the board as well as to the PE partners. Technical DirectorReading, BerkshireUp to £880 a day Outside IR35We are looking to recruit a Technical Director, who will be responsible for directing the laboratory through chemical manufacturing processes, this will include the design and development of processes, instruments and equipment.Additional responsibility for the identification, deployment and governance of chemical information technologies needed to support a variety of development processes, as well as aiding further technology initiatives.Responsibilities of the Technical Director: Take the lead on project activity by coordinating and reporting as required.Promote the resource planning process by leading the allocation and planning of meetings.Enact best practices to consolidate the IT PMO processes.Ensure the effective delivery of projects by providing expertise to the team.Take a proactive approach to identify potential risks on programs and projects.Work on Continuous Improvement projects, utilising information from project data.Assess, note and mitigate both risks and dependencies against project deliverables including budget and quality.Oversee a variety of requirements in the pilot plant, including the supplies, equipment, manpower, materials and supplies.Make recommendations to augment productivity, quality and efficiency.Be the leader around process development and validation.Take responsibility for writing technical summaries and process reports, whilst reviewing and approving compliance documents such as SOPs and validation protocols.Make sure staff have the sufficient training, whilst ensuring all records are maintained.Provide feedback to direct reports, offering training and development where needed.
