Injection Mould Designer
Newstaff Employment Services is looking for an innovative and skilled Injection Mould Designer to join a busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and developing detailed designs for injection mould tools, from single impression to multi cavity hot runner for the company's in-house toolroom. Their customer base is medical, automotive, switchgear and packaging. Responsibilities Develop and design injection moulds using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure designs meet specifications and production methodologies.Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for mould manufacturing.Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize mould designs for cycle time and efficiency.Manage the entire design process from concept through to final production.Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams throughout the injection moulding process.Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technology related to injection moulding. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.Proven experience as an Injection Mould Designer or in a similar role.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and materials.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex design concepts effectively.Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mould design and manufacturing.Knowledge of side cores, up and aways, steel types and selection, polymers hydraulics, hot runners, machining strategy's.
