This permanent role requires significant experience in mechanical engineering, with responsibilities spanning mechanical design activities across the business. The role involves working collaboratively with engineers and colleagues both in the UK and US to ensure product design and manufacture ability meet client needs. A group of engineering companies based in Hampshire is expanding their design capability and seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Chandler’s Ford. With a long-standing reputation for delivering high-performance pump systems, they are investing in innovation, product development, and quality engineering processes. This Mechanical Design Engineer role offers hands-on involvement across the full product lifecycle - from concept design to manufacturing handover - supporting both new product introduction and continuous improvement across the product range. You’ll take ownership of mechanical design activity, ensuring compliance with CE/UKCA standards while producing accurate specifications, drawings, and documentation. The role also includes leading small to medium projects and supporting the design and build of mechanical components, assemblies, and lifting structures.
