Data Scientist £50-£60k base + benefits 100 % onsite in Oldham initial then flexible after probation period is passed Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with a strong background in Deep Learning to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing deep learning models to extract valuable insights from vast amounts of data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and create impactful solutions. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize deep learning models for image classification problemsCollaborate with a co-located team of Software Engineers to ensure seamless integration of models into production environmentsConduct exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, feature engineering to uncover insights and guide model developmentStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in deep learning and AI technologies and apply them to real-world problemsCommunicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders effectivelyParticipate in code reviews, model evaluations, and continuous improvement processes to maintain high-quality deliverables Qualifications Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is desirableUnderstanding of the mathematics of CNNs and GANs essential, or other advanced deep learning techniquesProven experience in developing and deploying deep learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or similarStrong proficiency in programming in PythonExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a teamStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiencesExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) preferable Day-to-day You will be working on developing and implementing deep learning models, collaborating with software engineers, conducting data analysis, and staying updated with the latest advancements in deep learning and AI technologies.
