Data Analyst
About The RoleFDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Analyst to work with our client in the Energy sector. This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and will operate as a hybrid role based in Coventry (1 day per week onsite).Our client is delivering a major regulatory change programme centred on Market Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS). This role provides the opportunity to play a key part in shaping and delivering data-led capabilities across settlement, billing and wider operational processes. You will work closely with regulatory, operational, commercial and technology teams to build robust data monitoring frameworks and reporting tools that support decision making and compliance.Responsibilities Develop and maintain data monitoring solutions to support MHHS and wider regulatory change initiativesBuild dashboards, automated reports and analytical tools using market data from settlement, billing and operational sourcesAnalyse data quality issues, identify trends and provide insights to business and technical stakeholdersDocument data flows, business rules and reporting requirements to support programme deliveryCollaborate with business teams, technology teams and third party suppliers to ensure accurate, timely and consistent dataSupport the design and implementation of reporting solutions throughout the change lifecycle, including testing, deployment and post go live optimisationAbout YouStrong experience as a Data Analyst within the UK energy marketProven hands-on experience with Market Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programmesExperience working with settlement, billing, metering or industry data flowsSkilled in requirements documentation (BRDs, user stories), process mapping and data analysisConfident stakeholder manager across business, technology and regulatory functionsMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst roleAbout UsWe are a business and technology consultancy and one of the UK's leading employers, recruiting the brightest talent to become the innovators of tomorrow.
