Associate Traffic Director

The Role & Key Responsibilities This role will be collaborating with the Technical Director of Traffic and Parking and additional Associate Directors in Traffic to deliver on the business plans and strategies. This includes managing direct reports and leading on multiple projects with different clients. Work with Associate Directors for the professional and financial performance of the Traffic Team and their projects.Lead a team of senior engineers, engineers and technicians/graduates and apprentices.Oversee and assist in the preparation of brief responses, bids, proposals and estimates for new work.Identify and agree resources for current and new projects.Create Gantt charts using MS ProjectProvide CDM advice and where practical, act as Principal DesignerContribute towards the organic growth of the team - notional target of 10% per annumGuide project managers to deliver quality projects to customers' requirements.Provide technical direction, advice and support to the team to resolve problems and enhance business/project performance.Build relationships with clients and Project Centre staff across teams.Act as account manager for key clients and work closely with the Regional Director to assist in manage client accounts, and to deliver regional financial performance.Recruit and develop staff to meet customer expectations and business growth plansDevelop new service areas such as business case preparation and broader transport policies for clients Person Specification Excellent knowledge of traffic engineering, highways engineering and/or parking and transportation planningHave at least 10 years relevant experienceRelevant degree or equivalentExperience of successfully managing and delivering projectsProfessional Membership MICE/MCILT/MIHT is desirableQualification in project management is desirable What's in it for you?
