Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join the operations team of a major e-Commerce Home & Pet distributer. The Warehouse Manager will be part of the leadership team which has 6 sites across the UK. The primary responsibility of this new role will be managing the new Head Office Distribution Centre and report directly to the General Manager.About the RoleManagement, organisation and supervision of picking and packing requirements in line with customer SLA. This will be across multiple marketplacesOversee all warehouse Goods In procedures to ensure Purchase Orders are receipted accurately and in a timely fashionEnsuring the allocated Goods Out resource is aligned with channel volumesResponsible for Site H&S and Security. Ensuring the site is safe and compliant and acting as the “H&S Champion” to promote good practises and consistent standardsOversee all operations recruitment, disciplinaries and training. The Warehouse manager will be supported by the Business Support team & HR manager.Improving SOP’s and implementing fresh ideas to allow growth. Some channels will require a complete overhaul of SOP’s to align with customer SLAKPI ManagementSite Procurement. This responsibility will be supported by the finance team, but the warehouse manager will be responsible to ensuring the site has adequate resource to operate at full capacity.Facilities management. The site will require a Warehouse Manager who is responsible for audits and H&S so can identify site issues and resolve in a timely manner.Successful candidate require: -5 Years + experience in an Operations Manager, Depot Manager or Warehouse Manager roleGood understanding of Supply chain & e-Commerce practisesKPI ManagementBudget control. This senior role requires the successful candidate be a budget holder and have experience in managing depot P&L and procurementExperience in managing HR policies, disciplinary procedures and recruitment.History of “Project Lead”.
