Creative Director
This is a unique and career enhancing role with one of the most reputable and credible branding agencies based in the heart of Manchester. The clients are predominantly business to business and cover different sectors as do their requirements - they require an inspirational, ideas-led creative who has a portfolio of work which demonstrates innovation for a range of clients in different market sectors, across all media. The role: You’ll bring big ideas, craft, leadership skills and diplomacy together to help build the creative team into the strongest it can be. You’ll have plenty of scope and lots of rope. In essence, you will be the lead creative and guiding light on all projects, to generate creative ideas and concepts for a range of integrated campaigns. You’ll also be managing the studio; it’s not a huge team but everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, so knowing where to assign work will be key and mentoring them to get the absolute best of them will be something you’’ thrive on. You’ll also have your eyes everywhere in terms of what’s going out of the studio; accuracy, creativity, ingenuity will be at the forefront of everything the agency does. You’ll be used to working closely with client services teams, and you’ll report directly to the MD. In terms of work, the brands you will be involved with are global, household names and whilst the agency doesn’t do anywhere near as much print as they used to, it’s still an important element, so you’ll be bringing your creative flair to both on and offline projects. What we’re looking for: You’ll have been working within an agency environment, probably at senior level for the last 2/3 years, and you’re going to have a portfolio which demonstrates how you’ve tackled briefs to make them hugely creative, but also relevant across digital and print and environmentally considerate. You’ll have experience of people management, and crucially, will enjoy this aspect of your role. His role might suit someone who has previously deputised for a senior creative, and is now keen to take on such a role permanently. What’s on offer? The future potential of the role is excellent as you will be given the opportunity to take control of the agency creative across all platforms. Your remuneration will reflect the future challenges of the role and will be reviewed at each stage of your progression and development. It will most likely start around the 55-60k mark, but this isn’t set in stone. The agency is centrally based and works on a hybrid basis.
