Costs Negotiator
A Bolton based multi service client is looking to make an addition to its Costs Team to focus on RTA and ELPL matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience in a Costs environment. Previous experience handling your own caseload of Costs would be advantageous. This role is hybrid and would involve working within the Bolton office once a week. This is a rare opportunity with an outstanding firm which has a strong presence within the North West. The role would suit an experienced Costs assistant/Paralegal who is looking to step up and manage their own caseload of Cost's files. Duties to include: • Responsible for hitting 6.8 hours chargeable per day• Preparing points of dispute and considering replies• Identifying strengths and weaknesses and preparing a document to reflect this• Preparing cost strategy reports• Settling costs• Dealing with correspondence and telephone calls• Undertaking periodic reviews of files in line with Client requirements• Provide written updates by email or letter to clients detailing case activity to ensure that they receive up to date and accurate information about progress when requested• Instruct Counsel or Costs Lawyer to attend Detailed Assessment or alternatively conduct own advocacy #G2BS
