We are currently recruiting for a new Paralegal vacancy on behalf of our client, a highly-regarded US law firm. The role will primarily support the Portfolio Company Practice in the provision of non-transactional legal services to private equity portfolio companies. This is a broad role that will develop and will suit a proactive candidate looking for exposure in a leading law firm. Typical responsibilities will include: Reviewing NDAs and engagement letters.Undertaking client/matter research and reporting findings.Creating document lists for matters.Producing draft documents.Drafting corporate resolutions.Proofreading documents and sending to clients.Know-how and billing tasks, to help develop the Practice and identify growth areas.Providing ad hoc support to other related practice areas. This role will initially be a fixed-term contract for at least one year, and a competitive salary of £35,000 is on offer, plus OT and benefits. Suitable applicants will be degree-educated, proficient in legal research tasks, have the ability to juggle multiple assignments, and possess strong communication skills. We are seeking to recruit Paralegals with both Commercial and Residential Property experience who are diligent, self-motivated and fast learners. The successful candidates will be working directly with a Partner and other qualified staff. Due to the nature of the client base the candidate must a have Mandarin language ability both spoken and written. They will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience working in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running, The candidates are expected to have a full understanding of the conveyancing process and be able to raise property enquiries, draft reports on title and leases . They must have technical knowledge commensurate to their level of experience as well as a pro-active approach to risk management, a willingness to learn and a good knowledge of property transactions.
