Our client an international bank in London is looking for a Credit Analyst Corporate Banking.The Credit Analyst Corporate Banking will report to the Head of Credit and will be responsible for independent credit risk analysis of allocated cases/transactions and the day-to-day accountability for credit risk within the Branch Risk Appetite and Credit Risk Management Policy.Responsibilities of the Credit Analyst Corporate Banking:Provide independent credit risk analysis to the Credit Committee covering:Deal Structures & termsLoan obligors & guarantorsMoney market & derivative counterpartiesBond issuersAnalysis of country riskAnalysis of Industry riskProvide assessments on annual/ad hoc credit reviews and new dealsAssess the impact on Risk Appetite StatementSkills and experience required for the Credit Analyst Corporate Banking:5 years Credit Analysis/Credit Risk Management experience in a UK bankBachelors DegreeProven ability to analyse credit risk covering financial institutions and corporate borrowers.Knowledge of internal rating methodology and stress testing credit riskExperience of New deals and periodic reviews.Product knowledge covering treasury, corporate lending, structured deals, project finance and/or Leverage finance.Knowledge of legal documentation and collateral management

This role sits within the second line of defence (2LoD) and plays a critical part in supporting the bank's corporate and institutional business.Through robust credit risk assessment and monitoring. This role will specifically focus on Corporate Clients. Ideally, candidates have experience conducting credit risk analysis in relation to the Natural Resources & Commodities sector.Please note, unfortunately, this role does not offer sponsorship. Your new role Prepare detailed credit risk assessments and recommendations for new and existing corporate clients, based on proposals submitted by front office teams. Sector focus includes Natural Resources (Oil & Gas) and Commodities (Metals & Mining).Conduct in-depth analysis of counterparties, industries, financial statements, cash flows, and transaction structures.Draft and update credit applications, including waiver requests, limit renewals, and new transaction proposals.Present credit reports to internal Credit Committees and respond to queries from senior stakeholders.Collaborate with first line of defence (1LoD) teams to support business strategy and client onboarding.Monitor credit exposures and industry developments across an assigned portfolioDevelop and maintain financial models to track credit and market signalsEnsure compliance with internal credit policies and proceduresManage the end-to-end credit approval process using internal systems and coordinate with front office teams to meet timelines. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in corporate credit analysis, ideally within an international banking environment.Strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial analysis, and industry risk assessment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex credit issues clearly.Familiarity with credit approval systems and regulatory expectations in the UK market.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
