Graduate Business Analyst
A international trading house in London is currently recruiting a Graduate Business Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Metal Products Unit’s Tubular business while completing graduate training. Focus on supporting: OCTG Sales, Operations/Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Sustainability initiatives for their tubular business.The role will suit someone who has a degree level or equivalent qualification in business, finance, science, or relevant technical subject. Work experience during study will be advantageous.After receiving on the job training for the first few months, you will then have the opportunity to go to Houston for 3 months as part of your training. Following this, you will return to London to support the tubular business. Rotations within the department are possible later in your career! TYPE: Fixed-Term Contract: 18 months, full-time (There is potential to become permanent)WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to FridaySALARY: £32K depending on experience, plus good benefitsSTART: ASAPLOCATION: City of London (Currently 3 days in the office, 2 days’ work from home - It may change depending on the company’s decision.) Graduate Business Analyst Main Responsibilities: •Support tender preparation and sales activities (including O&G and energy transition customers, i.e. Geothermal & CCS)•Conduct project financial analysis and cost modelling•Support sustainability initiatives (inc. GHG emissions measurement, analysis and reporting with use of Sphera Cloud Corporate Sustainability software)•Analyse and map business process, both general and project specific•Document procedures and work instructions in accordance with the Quality Management System•Support Quality and Operational Audits•Monitor inventories and conduct periodic stock checks in accordance with company rules•Support new project implementations as a team member•Create and format iTIMS and related business reports•SAP/iTIMS/Salesforce transactional input•Support JSOX audits•Conduct compliance checks (audit follow-up)•Presentation preparation, marketing material creation•Perform month end procedures, checks and record keeping Graduate Business Analyst Ideal Candidate: Qualifications:•Degree level or equivalent qualification in business, finance, science or relevant technical subject Skills:•Listens, consults others and communicates proactively•Proficient user of MS Office 2022 or later, particularly Excel and Word and, ideally, Access or a similar database to basic level•Critical analytical thinking•Strong literacy and numeracy skillsPersonal Qualities/Attributes:•Self-driven•Results-oriented and a clear focus on high quality•Relates well to people at all levels•Empathic communicator - supports and cares for others•Adaptable•Able to travel internationally•Keen to support energy transition and expand sustainability management•Team-playerDesired Experience:•Work experience during study is preferred•Experience within a multicultural business environment•Experience in using SAP is an advantage•Basic office experience•Understands the principles of supply chain management•Understands the principles of sustainability, GHG emissions reporting and Net Zero ** All applicants must have the right to work in the UK as the Company is not able to offer visa support.If your application is successful, you will be contacted within two business days.
