Key Qualifications for this Position include: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or eqv) from an accredited university with minimum twenty years (20) Project Management experience in Oil, Gas and Refinery Projects EPCC ProjectsExperience in large-scale Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Projects and working with major IOCHas clearly demonstrated engineering and project management competenceAbility to work in multicultural environmentStrong knowledge with relevant codes (ASCE, BS etc)Demonstrated interpersonal/team building skillsProficient in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6Strong written and Oral English Communication Job Description Oversee the construction project from start to finish.Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities.Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the projectEnsure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the engineers, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.Regular inspection of construction sites.Ensure project documents are complete.Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.Responsible for maintaining the project construction schedules by correct supervision of the work and assuring availability of adequate tolls, equipment and manpower.Ensure feedback and deviation reports to project managerMonitors receipt and storage of all materials.Ensure that subcontractor deploys the right quality of personnel at the right time for the required duration.Ensure that subcontractor complies with all its obligations under the contract, including adherence to the specifications, schedule and procedures.Take necessary corrective action to align project back on track in case of deviations from plans (cost, schedule, quality, HSE, performance, operability, maintainability, etc.).Monitor subcontractor performance against its program, deliverables, and milestones in line with progress measurement and reporting system set out in the EPC contract.Avoid the variations from contract by taking proactive/preventive actions.
