Geoenvironmental ConsultantLocation: SheffieldSalary: £30,000 - £35,000An established and growing multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit a Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their Sheffield team. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant looking to develop their technical expertise while working on a wide range of brownfield and infrastructure projects.The RoleYou will be involved in delivering geoenvironmental and site investigation projects from initial assessment through to remediation and reporting. The role offers a strong mix of site work, technical reporting, and client interaction.Key responsibilities include:Undertaking and managing Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site InvestigationsLogging soil and rock in accordance with UK standardsSupervising ground investigations and liaising with subcontractorsConducting contaminated land risk assessments (human health and controlled waters)Preparing factual and interpretative reportsAssisting with remediation strategies and verification worksSlope stability assessmentsCoal Mining risk assessmentsSupporting project delivery to meet time and budget constraintsRequirementsDegree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline1-4 years' experience in a geoenvironmental or ground investigation roleGood understanding of contaminated land legislation and guidance (e.g. CLR11)Experience in site work and report writingFull UK driving licenceStrong communication and organisational skillsWhat's On OfferCompetitive salary with regular reviewsOpportunity to work on diverse and technically interesting projectsClear progression pathway and support towards Chartered statusOngoing training and professional developmentFriendly, supportive team environmentThis is a great opportunity for a Geoenvironmental Consultant looking to take the next step in career.
