Stock Condition Surveyor
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a housing association who are looking for a Stock Condidition Surveyor to join their team. The role: Carry out in-depth property inspections to evaluate the condition of housing stock, highlighting key issues, potential hazards, and opportunities for improvement.Develop clear, well-structured reports outlining findings, with practical recommendations for both short-term repairs and long-term maintenance planning.Take an active role in promoting safe, quality housing by ensuring compliance with the Decent Homes Standard, the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS),Partner closely with internal teams to drive the delivery of maintenance solutions and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.Stay informed on evolving regulations and best practices within the housing sector to maintain high standards and support continuous service enhancement. Experience required: Qualified in building or construction with a recognised credential such as a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or an HNC in Building Studies.Extensive hands-on experience in stock condition surveying on residential properities Exceptional analytical and diagnostic skills, with a strong ability to assess property conditions and propose effective, evidence-based solutions.Confident and articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.Highly self-reliant yet collaborative, able to manage individual workloads while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Skilled in the use of industry-standard surveying and reporting tools, with a solid grasp of relevant digital platforms and technologies.Holds a full UK driving licence and is fully flexible to travel throughout the Northwest region.
