Compliance Manager
SCUK Compliance Manager Country: United Kingdom Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Compliance Manager to join our team, working on a hybrid basis in Redhill, Surrey (with at least 3 days a week in the office). Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance & DMLRO you will be accountable for the oversight of second line of defence compliance matters across the business. Please note: Fully remote workers will not be consideredThe closing date for this role will be end of day, Monday 15th June 2026 Responsibilities will include: Assist in day-to-day management of compliance matters as SME within the businessProvide leadership to all junior members of the teamHelp the department meet its internal SLAsEnsure appropriate and timely engagement with internal and external stakeholders Assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance & DMLRO and other senior compliance stakeholders when requiredWork with other Compliance Managers to ensure department goals are metBuild upon internal relationships and those within San UK and SCF Madrid to build a collaborative working environmentEscalate any areas of concern in accordance with established GovernanceSupport business projects and initiatives (within the department and across the organisation), from a second line compliance perspective and act as a team playerKeep up to date with industry best practice relating to compliance and regulatory riskTake responsibility and actively manage any RCSA requirements relevant to your areas of responsibilityIn conjunction with other Compliance Managers, produce high quality MI for relevant committeesBe an advocate for a good culture across SCUK including actively promoting a good compliance culture Other responsibilities of the role will include: Risk Management & OversightReputational RiskConduct RiskCompliance Working ProgramReporting / MIResponsible BankingProduct OversightData ProtectionCustomer JourneyVulnerable CustomersCompliance CultureTrainingGovernanceManagement What we’re looking for: A compliance (or other relevant) qualificationExtensive compliance related work experience, with knowledge of compliance issues within consumer creditConduct, compliance and reputational risk experienceExperience with customer journey oversightA good knowledge of current UK regulation affecting the business and industryExperience with effectively implementing changeDeveloped knowledge of FCA regulations and rule booksPrevious, demonstrable, line management experiencePrevious experience and understanding of the Motor Finance sectorA good knowledge of current UK regulation affecting the business and industryStrong organisational skills and flexibility to adapt to a changing environmentA need for accuracy and an eye for detailStrong analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationshipsAbility to meet aggressive deadlinesWell-developed report writing and I.T. skillsDigital awareness and competency We have a range of benefits available which include: Competitive salary of £56,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)30 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidaysAnnual bonus based on personal and company performanceCar allowancePrivate medical coverGenerous pension contributionsEmployee assistance programmeSharesave schemeGym passes at a reduced rate for 3,000 gyms, leisure centres etc Other things you need to know: The hours for this post are 09:00-17:00 across Monday - Friday Inclusion At Santander we’re creating a thriving workplace where all colleagues feel they belong and are supported to succeed.
