We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Analyst to join our UK Compliance team. Reporting into a Compliance Manager, your position will involve supporting the Compliance advisory function in ensuring that the firm meets its regulatory objectives. Please note that this is an onsite role that will require you to work within our London office (near Liverpool street) 5 days on site per week. Key Responsibilities: Keep abreast of regulatory developments. Assess applicability, assist with proposing and project managing solutions through to implementation in a timely manner.Assist with project work dependent on regulatory topics, commercial business projects or BAU.Contribute to and/or manage responses to regulatory queries/requests, consultation papers as they apply and regulatory audits. Assist with the resolution of findings.Work with the business units to develop a good understanding of their strategy, services and products, and promote a good compliance culture across the organisation.Work collaboratively with Compliance colleagues sharing best practice and promoting open dialogue and communication. Review/approve/oversee MiFID client categorisation (including elective professional client opt ups) and DFSA (Dubai) client categorisation.Maintain adequate oversight and ensure regulatory reporting obligations are fulfilled.Contribute to on-going work to ensure that the principles of Consumer Duty are being met, and that sufficient steps are taken to protect the best interests of our clients, including those with characteristics of vulnerability.Assist with advice/guidance to the business and oversight of the handling of key areas of Compliance, including client money, financial promotions, and product governance etc., and ensure that employees are made aware of and understand their regulatory responsibilities.Assist the department in maintaining adequate records.Assist the Compliance Manager with bespoke compliance training to staff, focusing on key aspects of the business and current regulatory issues.Assist in the support of the risk process within the region to identify, assess, treat, report; monitor risks promoting a strong risk culture.Identify and escalate signs of regulatory breaches or compliance gaps. Pro-actively offer solutions in resolving breaches.Assist in maintaining the regulatory correspondence registerAssist with providing sufficient management information to allow the Board and Management visibility of the firm’s ongoing compliance.Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training. Compliance Analyst We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading US law firm in the city to find a Compliance Analyst to join their global team in London. This role will see you working as part of a global team to support a range of compliance, AML, and conflicts matters for some of the firm's leading clients. You’ll undertake regular conflict checks for new and existing clients, compile reports, and work with the wider firm (secretaries, MLRO, general counsel) to maintain a responsive and efficient compliance offering. As a Compliance AML Analyst at this prestigious law firm, you will research and prepare client due diligence for new global clients looking to engage with the firm. Working with the London and wider international team to assist with internal and external AML audits, general compliance support, and assisting with firmwide AML and compliance training. You will also be an integral part of providing feedback for improvements and enhancements on the firm’s compliance best practices. The perfect Compliance AML Analyst will have extensive AML and compliance experience within a legal environment, having experience with multijurisdictional regulations, including SEC and FCA.
