Commissioning Engineer
A nationally focused Commissioning Engineer role working on the installation, commissioning, and fault-finding of low-voltage generator systems and temporary power solutions. They have built a strong reputation for technical expertise, service delivery, and investing in engineering talent and development.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Commission and install low-voltage diesel generator systems and associated control equipmentCarry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across hire fleet and customer-owned equipmentDiagnose electrical and control system faultsConfigure and test control systems including DSE and ComAp controllersInstall ATS systems, synchronising equipment, and temporary power distribution systemsConduct load bank testing and system performance verificationProvide on-site technical support and respond to breakdowns when requiredComplete commissioning and service documentation using digital systemsSupport installation teams and collaborate with project delivery teamsEnsure all work is carried out in line with RAMS and health & safety requirementsProfileThe Successful Candidate:Electrically qualified via apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualificationMinimum 3 years' experience in power generation, commissioning, or electrical service rolesStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilitiesExperience with generator control systems (DSE, ComAp or similar)Knowledge of ATS systems, synchronisation, and LV power distributionAbility to read electrical schematics and wiring diagramsPLC experience or diagnostics knowledge advantageousFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationallyStrong communication skills and a professional, customer-facing approachJob OfferWhat's on Offer:£55,000 - £65,000 (DOE) + overtimeCompany vehicle and tools provided25 days holiday + bank holidaysPension schemeOngoing training and developmentClear progression opportunitiesAdditional perks including subsidised meals and on-site gym
