Job Description We are working with a boutique bridging lender based in the Stockport/Cheadle area who specifically specialise in bridging - this is not a large outfit however due to their investment in case management and underwriting systems - their technology is extremely impressive! Salary £35 - 40k Depending on experience in the bridging arena - this role also offers flexible working at the same time as needing to have an office presence due to the nature of the role We are recruiting for an Underwriter from a bridging products environment to join an established team whilst a series of projects get under way - this is due to an increase in lending levels which will only continue This role may also be suitable for a trainee or junior underwriter but the salary would be reflective of that - you would need to have worked in lending/case management as a minimum. This is an exciting time to join the company. The team is a small team and therefore there is a chance to be extremely influential within the business working with the MD and Senior Management alongside another Senior Underwriter Duties will include: Underwrite approved bridging loan applicationsAssess the risk attributed to the application and make a decision based on thisBuild successful working relationships with third parties such as solicitors and valuersUnderstand and assess relevant supporting documentation such as credit reports, valuation reports and financial statementsApprove or decline applications within mandate levelsMonitor and report any fraudulent activityWork within regulatory requirements You will have: Relevant, bridging, commercial or buy-to-let underwriting experienceEnjoy working in an autonomous environment, as well as working as a teamHave the ability to make decisions and communicate these clearlyA confident self-starterExcellent numeracy skills Salary £30 - 42k Depending on experience - this role also offers flexible working at the same time as needing to have an office presence due to the nature of the role If you do not have a CV but would like an initial conversation about this role on a private and confidential basis, please contact Charlotte Hilton
