An established and highly regarded UK IP boutique law firm, with offices in London and Manchester, is seeking a mid-level commercial solicitor to join its growing team. The firm is known for providing expert intellectual property advice to a diverse client base including fast growth brands, high-profile individuals and major sports organisations. The team is collaborative, innovative and has been recognised among the UK's leading IP firms. About the role This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading firm at an exciting stage of growth. You will work within a commercial team that focuses on Sport, Media and Entertainment, Retail and Technology, supporting a wide range of clients on non-contentious matters. The role will suit a solicitor who is confident handling mid-level matters independently, while also collaborating with and supervising junior team members. There is strong scope to develop your own client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives, with clear progression opportunities for the right candidate. Responsibilities Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, with a strong focus on IP and data protectionAdvising on IP licensing, software agreements, franchising and data processing agreementsSupporting clients with GDPR and wider data compliance and strategy issuesIdentifying and advising on relevant intellectual property rights and how clients can protect, exploit and enforce themWorking closely with in-house legal teams and external stakeholdersSupervising and mentoring junior team members as requiredAssisting with business development activities and supporting the growth of the team and firmPotentially undertaking secondment opportunities with clients where required Skills and experience Qualified solicitor with solid experience in commercial contracts, ideally within IP, technology or mediaStrong understanding of data protection and GDPR complianceExperience working on large-scale commercial transactions would be advantageousExcellent drafting, negotiation and client-facing skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and commercial mindset Benefits Competitive salary plus bonus scheme25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPrivate medical insuranceHybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)Additional wellbeing and social benefits Apply today or contact Antony Setford for more information. #INDCATS
