Overall purpose of role of Commercial Partnerships Executive The Institute of Chartered Accountants is responsible for regulation, education, and development of the financial services profession. Its members are those working in business, typically at Financial Director/CFO level or members working in accountancy practice, ranging from the big four to smaller regional firms. The Commercial Partnerships team are responsible for generating income through developing strategic partnerships with external organisations, with a view to aligning their marketing and engagement objectives with our technical requirements and member demographic. The commercial partnerships executive will be responsible for proposing activity that would provide this mutual benefit, often by designing annual strategic marketing campaigns with the client and liaising with internal technical managers to align the topic. These partnerships may include the following: Bespoke events (round tables, workshops), existing events, webinars, digital and print advertising, publications, press exposure and research. The successful candidate will be interested in business and finance with a drive to generate and execute new ideas, develop propositions, build relationship and become a leading expert in this sector. Commercial Partnerships Executive Responsibilities include: To identify new business opportunities through new client acquisition and growth, spotting business opportunities and working with internal stakeholders. To generate, through partnerships, a set revenue target as well as managing personal pipelines and leading on key ICAEW initiatives. To support and work with the Commercial Partnerships Account Management team on delivery of your client's program. To gain a detailed understanding of ICAEW's strategic objectives and that of our members. To gain detailed understanding of the clients' marketing and strategic objectives and to work with these to align with our own in the form of a commercial partnership. Manage a specific portfolio of relationships, including the development of new relationships with potential partners, making the best use of market intelligence, understanding their business and marketing objectives, and matching these to ICAEW's activities and plans. To develop and establish effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders to align relevant partners to their strategic objectives. Commercial Underwriter Purpose of Role/Job Overview: Commercial Combined/SME Underwriter business on a presentation basis Underwriting a high volume of Commerical Combined / SME enquiries, average premium is circa £3,000 with a potential to write up to a premium of £100,000. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will possess the ability to interpret policy / endorsement wordings and have experience in writing own or modifying existing wordings. Once trained it is expected that the position of Commercial Underwriter will be fairly autonomous, working to achieve personal underwriting targets. Commercial Underwriter Requirements: Must have a Minimum of 3 years’ Commercial Undewriting experience. Preferable Cert CII or part qualified. As a Commecial Underwriter, you must have experience of determining policy terms and calculate premiums in line with both in-house authority limits and insurer binding authority agreements. Demonstrate your contribution to loss ratio control by effectively adhering to Company's underwriting controls. Experience in writing high risk and hard to place business is desired but not necessary. Existing broker relationships that would support in this role is desired, but again not necessary.
