Customer & Commercial Director
Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Customer & Commercial Director to join their team. This permanent position represents a key role within the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with Sales, Operational, and Finance teams to maximise commercial opportunities and maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Customer Support Management: planning, relationships, quotes, invoicing, and overdue payment management following contract awardSupply Chain Responsibility: Direct Material Purchasing, subcontracting, and LogisticsRotable/Asset Management: identification of Gear Purchases, tear down, part liquidations/sales, and Rotable CapexCosting responsibility to support Major Bids/Customer RFPsIndirect Purchasing/contract management responsibility for the siteManagement of site costings (pre-contract) and analysis for pricing requests through the Sales organisationLead all Business Development related to Military/Regional activity from RFP, contract negotiations to sales support managementLead, mentor, and continue developing the Customer Support, Logistic, and Purchasing teams Job Requirements: Capacity to develop long-term commercial and customer service strategies aligned with company objectivesPositive and proactive approach to challenges and change managementSystematic problem solver with the ability to implement solutionsBusiness acumen and financial awareness essentialStrong negotiation skills with experience in closing contracts with customers and suppliersAbility to manage and organise multiple projects/tasks simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills to present effective and persuasive argumentsExperience in the Aerospace sector preferred, MRO experience a bonusPrior management experience in a customer service or commercial management capacityWillingness to travel as necessary (predominantly Europe) Benefits: Early finish on Fridays. 4 days in the office 1 from home. 25 days of holiday, plus UK Bank Holidays, with options to buy or sell daysAnnual generous bonus and share scheme optionsGenerous pension scheme, with up to 8% matched contributionsOnsite parking, including EV chargers, subsidised restaurant, bicycle storage, and shower facilitiesFlexible benefits and working options, enhanced maternity and family friendly benefits Our client is committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone and understands that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective.
