You must have prior experience working with contracts in the construction industry and a full UK driving license.(JCT / Joint Contracts Tribunal experience is also highly beneficial attribute) Hybrid working is available after your probationary period 30 days holiday per year including statutory bank holidays increasing to 33 days after 6 years of continuous, and 1 extra day for each day of service Hours of work: Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00 (45 minutes lunch) Friday: 08:30 - 16:00 (1 hour lunch) Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of fitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture; the organisation has been in operation for over 50 years and has experienced growth year on year, they operate nationally and have around 50% share of the private housing market and currently supply one in every three kitchens to the social housing market. Key responsibilities of the Commercial Contracts Assistant: Completing contract reviews, proposing and negotiating amendmentsIdentifying commercial risks and adhering to authorisation/escalation protocolAttending customer-facing and internal meetingsLiaising with Sales and Finance departmentsLiaising with customers via telephone and emailPreparing cover letters and processing documents for signatureMaintaining accurate records including electronic systems, spreadsheets and hardcopy filing)Managing and generating reports from the contract databaseManaging the team email inbox and acknowledging, actioning or directing all queriesAttending the weekly team call and providing progress updatesDrafting and processing contractual noticesProviding in-house staff training To fulfil the role of Commercial Contracts Assistant role you must: Have prior experience with contracts in the construction industryPossess the ability to read and digest a high volume of documentation with legal wordingHave excellent attention to detailHave least Intermediate skills with Word, Excel and OutlookDemonstrate strong organisational skills to manage your workload and meet strict deadlinesBe self-disciplined and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentBe ambitious and want personal and professional development from your careerBe a reliable team player who displays a positive and flexible attitudeBe a confident communicator able to interact at all levels and adapt to different clients and projects Additional Information: Contributory Pension after 3 monthsStaff discount on furnitureOn-site canteen area and kitchen facilitiesFree parking and use of company car for attending meetings
