Commercial Finance Analyst
SRM are partnered with a Birmingham based business who are seeking a Finance Business Analyst to support the senior finance and business managers with the provision of insight through accurate financial reports and variance analysis, core data and recommendations for performance improvement along with engaging with stakeholders. The successful candidate will be within a reasonable commute to Solihull, working 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. Salary on offer is £40-48kpa (dependent on experience). Key Responsibilities Forecasting and Planning Assist with the end to end functional and Group budget and forecasting processesModel and scenario analyse operational and commercial outlooks Business Support Demonstrate a deep understanding of key business drivers to senior business managersSupport high quality analysis and insights to maximise and shape growth and EBIT marginDevelop dashboards and reports for communication and understanding of cost base and marginWork closely with the Group FC to ensure completeness and accuracy of the balance sheetsProvide visibility of all balance sheet & working capital movements and variance from forecastCollaborate with colleagues to ensure accuracy of internal costing system and cost to serve for both customer and geographic perspectivesEngage with finance to evolve manufacturing cost analysis and insightWork across supply chain and finance to ensure all non-material costs are captured, understood and included within quotations and ordersAd hoc finance duties including supporting the implementation and testing of new processes, systems and controls Reporting Assist the Head of FP&A with the reporting of financial performance, variance analysis, margin analysis and forecastingAssist the Group Financial Controller with reporting of overhead cost base, variance analysis and anticipation of future resource needs to support growth and efficiency targetsAssist the FBP with dashboard reporting; including the interpretation of results and recommendations to improve performanceAssist the preparation of the weekly Flash analysis and monthly reports, including provision of commentary and insight Key Requirements: Business/Accounting degree; CIMA (minimum final year); qualified by experienceManufacturing background (costing and transfer pricing exposure)Very IT literate & systems savvy. Microsoft Dynamics BC / Power BIAccurate, detail conscious, quantitative and analytical skills, data modelling, problem solverStrong clear communication both in writing and verbally, presents data in user friendly formatTeam player, collaborator, influencer, energised; yet able to work on a standalone basisResponsive, Reliable & Results orientated
