About the ProvisionThis is a nurturing and forward-thinking environment where every student is supported holistically, cognitively, emotionally and socially. The team works collaboratively to create personalised therapeutic plans that reduce reliance on adults and empower pupils to move confidently toward adulthood.You will play a key role in shaping whole-school wellbeing, Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practice. What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll use evidence-based psychological approaches to support pupils, families and staff. Your responsibilities will include:Completing detailed psychological assessments using a range of tools and approachesDeveloping therapeutic plans and interventions tailored to individual needsDelivering 1:1 and group therapiesContributing to multi-disciplinary planning and behaviour support strategiesSupporting school-wide Positive Behaviour Support initiativesProviding staff training on behaviour, communication, mental health and wellbeingOffering guidance, communication and support to parents and carersProducing progress reports, treatment evaluations and risk assessmentsCollaborating with external agencies and involved professionalsProviding supervision to Assistant Psychologists where requiredThis is a role where you’ll see the genuine impact of your work every day. What We’re Looking ForYou’ll be a strong match if you have:Qualifications & RegistrationPostgraduate qualification in Psychology – essentialRegistered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist – essentialExperienceExperience working with young people with high support needs or SENSkilled in working with Autism and associated challengesPrevious experience in school, college or care settings (desirable)Experience working within a multi-disciplinary teamExperience supervising Assistant PsychologistsSkills & Personal QualitiesExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong interpersonal skills and a collaborative natureAbility to train, guide and empower staffCommitment to promoting independence, emotional regulation and dignityAccurate record keepingKnowledge of safeguarding practicesPassion for equality, diversity and inclusive practice SafeguardingReed Education and the employing school are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.All applicants must complete an Enhanced DBS check and meet all safer recruitment requirements.
