Please see details below:Payroll OfficerLocation: Poole / On site Permanent (can work 8am – 4pm or 7.30am – 3.30pm or 8.30am – 4.30pm) based on site in Poole.Salary: £32,228 – £33,191 per annumAn established organisation in the Poole area is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Officer to join its professional services team on a full-time, permanent basis.This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-driven organisation that places people at the heart of everything it does and is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for its wider community.The RoleReporting into the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will support the delivery of end-to-end payroll services, ensuring all salaries, deductions and pensions are processed accurately and on time, in line with statutory requirements and internal policies.Key ResponsibilitiesCalculate and process three monthly payrolls for staff (circa 680 employees)Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and pension schemes including Teachers’ Pensions, LGPS and NESTReconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate, auditable recordsProvide knowledgeable payroll support to colleagues via email, telephone and face-to-faceSupport year-end HMRC and pension reconciliations and associated auditsWork collaboratively with People and Finance teams to ensure a smooth employee experienceContribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processesUndertake additional duties appropriate to the role and gradeAbout YouProven experience in full payroll administration (education sector experience beneficial but not essential)Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detailClear communicator with a calm, solution-focused approachAble to work independently while contributing positively to a team environmentWhat’s on Offer27.5 days annual leave + bank holidays, rising to 30.5 days with serviceUp to 4 additional days’ leave during the Christmas closure periodAccess to a range of retail discount schemesNEST pension enrolmentSupportive, inclusive and people-focused working cultureRetention IncentiveOne-off incentive payment of up to £2,000 upon successful completion of probation (T&Cs apply)Amount determined at offer stage based on experience and skill set12-month post-probation commitment required (repayment applies for early departure)
