An established Construction Consultancy is seeking a team-oriented Clerk of Works to join their close-knit team in the heart of Liverpool. With a family-run feel and a thriving team of 20, this consultancy predominantly works in the residential sector, focusing on projects such as apartments, houses, extra care facilities, and bungalows. The company serves a large client base, primarily housing associations across the Northwest, and prides itself on a supportive, honest, and personable team environment. The Clerk Of Works Role Key Responsibilities: Become familiar with Employers' Requirements, Contractors' Proposals, Contract Programme, drawings, and instructions to ensure work is carried out to the client's high standards.Ensure compliance with regulations, including CDM 2015, Planning Approvals, Building Regulations, and NHBC/Premier standards.Produce and issue weekly progress/observation reports, highlighting quality issues and actions taken.Regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure work meets specification and programme requirements.Attend Site Progress Meetings and inspect sample panels, mock-ups, and commissioning services installations.Inspect properties at snagging and Making Good Defects stages, creating and issuing lists to contractors and performing backchecks. The Clerk Of Works Be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word).Have a full UK driving licence and car.Have excellent communication skills to develop strong relationships with project team members.Possess advanced knowledge of construction methods, technologies, regulations, and contracts (JCT).Have significant experience providing Clerk of Works services on new build developments, ideally for Housing Association clients.Be a member of ICWCI, CIOB, or equivalent professional bodies.
