Clerk of WorksA respected consultancy is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to join their growing team, covering projects across the North West.This is an excellent opportunity for a Clerk of Works with strong residential and affordable housing experience to join a professional consultancy working on a varied portfolio of housing schemes. The successful Clerk of Works will be responsible for inspecting works, monitoring quality and ensuring projects are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and relevant standards.The Clerk of Works RoleThe successful Clerk of Works will carry out regular site inspections across a range of residential and affordable housing projects throughout the North West.Projects will include:Affordable housing developmentsLow-rise housingApartment schemesHigh-rise residential projectsExtra care developmentsAssisted living schemesResponsibilities will include:Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor quality and workmanshipEnsuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and employer's requirementsIdentifying defects, non-compliance and areas requiring corrective actionPreparing detailed site inspection reportsMonitoring progress and quality across multiple residential schemesLiaising with contractors, clients, housing associations and project teamsSupporting the delivery of affordable housing projects to the required standardsEnsuring site works meet relevant building regulations, technical standards and best practiceMaintaining clear records and communication throughout the project lifecycleThe Clerk of WorksThe successful Clerk of Works will ideally have:Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, Quality Inspector or similarICWCI preferredStrong experience across residential or affordable housing projectsKnowledge of housing association processes and requirementsExperience inspecting low-rise housing, apartments, high-rise schemes or extra care developmentsA strong eye for detail and qualityExcellent reporting and communication skillsA good understanding of construction methods, defects and site quality standardsA professional, organised and proactive approachIn Return£45,000 - £50,00025 days' annual leave plus bank holidaysPensionDiscretionary company performance bonus55p per mile mileage allowanceVaried affordable housing projects across the North WestIf you are a Clerk of Works, considering your career history, please contact Megan Cole at Brandon James.
