Cleaning Operative | Permanent | Full TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cleaning Operative to join SEFM Ltd, delivering high-quality cleaning services at Bournemouth & Poole College’s Poole campus. Working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent contract, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.As part of the Estates Team, you’ll contribute to a supportive and inclusive workplace that values respect, equality, and a shared passion for excellence. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness using sustainable practices.What You’ll Be DoingDelivering a “best in class” cleaning service across the College estateFollowing company procedures, including all health and safety requirementsCleaning a variety of areas including classrooms, offices, corridors, kitchens, toilets, and washroomsCarrying out waste removal and maintaining hygiene standards throughoutCompleting weekly deep cleans of designated areasOperating cleaning machinery such as carpet cleaners and hard floor equipmentEnsuring all cleaning equipment is maintained in a clean and hygienic conditionWorking to a structured daily cleaning schedule and supporting wider team tasks as requiredWhat We’re Looking ForAt least 2 years’ experience in a cleaning role (experience in an education setting is desirable)Good knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemical useUnderstanding of health and safety practicesA proactive, “can-do” attitude with excellent attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamReliable, adaptable, and committed to high standardsWillingness to work eveningsGCSEs (or equivalent) and/or relevant cleaning training are desirableJoin a team committed to creating a clean, safe, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.We encourage early applications, as we may close the vacancy once we receive a sufficient number of strong applications.Working at Bournemouth and Poole CollegeMore than just a job.At Bournemouth & Poole College, we are passionate about turning potential into professionals.
