Do you have a background in Claims Adjusting within Energy? The opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for either a Claims Adjuster or Senior Claims Adjuster - Energy to join the London team for a leading insurer. The Energy Liability & Terrorism team handle a broad range of claims emanating from the Energy, Liability and Terrorism Underwriting teams. What you'll be doing: Customer-Focused Claims Management: Drive a customer-centric approach by handling claims efficiently and ensuring clear, honest communication with brokers and (re)insureds. Support this goal through individual objectives, team collaboration, and effective oversight of service providers. Compliance and Reporting: Manage claims in line with regulatory requirements, company philosophy, and the Claims Handling Manual. Provide quality narratives on key claims and escalate significant developments, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management. Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, actuaries, and brokers to improve claims processes and support business growth. Participate in client meetings, provide feedback on claims experiences, and contribute to the Claims Business Plan through proactive improvements and innovative project work. What we are looking for: Industry Knowledge and Qualifications: Solid background in Energy claims with a preference for Renewables experience. Working towards or achieved ACII accreditation. Data Interpretation and Problem Solving: Adept at scoping problems, analysing data, and collaborating with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to drive improvements. Policy Language Development: Experience in reviewing and advising on policy wording to ensure desired coverage and improve clarity. Relationship Management and Negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with brokers, underwriters, and legal providers; capable of negotiating complex coverage matters effectively. Organisational and Problem-Solving Skills: Highly organised with the ability to deliver practical, efficient solutions to complex challenges. Customer-Centric Approach: Focused on understanding customer needs, soliciting feedback, and providing tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction.
