Childcare Solicitor
My client is a well-respected Legal 500 ranked firm, with an award-winning team specialising in Childcare law matters. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a leading team in the Northwest. Possessing an abundance of expertise in handling complex cases concerning children, you will be a part of a skilled team that is adequately prepared to offer specialised guidance. Many of the solicitors within this team are Specialist Children Panel Members. The team is specialists in areas including, Female Genital Mutilation, International Relocation, Child Abduction, Forced Marriage, defence of serious allegations of injury, abuse or neglect and fabricated or induced illness. The Role: In this position, you will handle your own caseload of childcare-related cases (There is no work related to family law because that is handled by a separate team). It is necessary to have at least two years of prior experience in this field, including managing your own caseload as well as participating in advocacy. You will provide advice on all aspects and stages of the childcare proceedings, such as wardship, parental responsibility orders, contact orders, and orders for interim care and supervision. Providing practical, skilled representation and, if needed, enlisting the assistance of additional specialists in your case. Further to this you will also be familiar and able to offer guidance on matters including, PLO's as well as Representation at PLO meetings with the authorities, Child protection, Section 20 accommodation in foster care and Children's services involvement and assessments. I am keen to discuss this role with solicitors who have experience within Childcare Law, not just those who have The Law Society’s Children Law Panel accreditation and/or have a Children’s Guardian following.
