Management Accountant Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Salary: Up to 34,000 depending on experience Hybrid working with the ability to work from home 2 days a week About us We are St Andrew's. A bit about the role: You will work as part of the Charity's Finance team, who are responsible for the production of timely and accurate financial management information, including monthly accounts as well as ad hoc analysis to support the Charity. This role would suit an individual with previous management accounting experience. Your key responsibilities will include: Processing month end journalsAccruals and prepaymentsComplete regular balance sheet reconciliations; following up and resolving any reconciling items and highlighting concerns and errorPreparing divisional financial reports including variance analysisAssist and support during budgeting and forecasting processesPreparing monthly management accounts for the Executive BoardAssist in preparing quarterly external financial reportsCommunicating at all levels within the organisation, with the capability to present financial information to non-finance colleagues and teamsWork with budget holders to ensure best practice in line with company policyIdentifying and implementing process improvements for the wider team where possible andProvide cover for the Management Accountant when required What we're looking for: CIMA/ACCA part qualified with desire to continue and complete studiesExperience in a similar roleGood working knowledge of SAP is desirableProficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to liaise confidently with all parts of the CharityAbility to work independently or as part of a teamStrong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlinesMethodical with an excellent attention to detail A bit more about you: You will have high level of all round financial experience and skill including financial systems, MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), compliance, project management, controls, financial reporting (internal). You will have strong analytical, strategic, problem solving and organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You will hold a formal accountancy qualification - AAT as minimum, and ideally in first stages of CIMA or ACCA. You will have previous experience working in a Finance analyst or management accountant role, and be looking for a first step into business partnering. You will have a broad business acumen and sound business judgement, and strong communication skills, able to adapt language and messaging dependent on stakeholder.
