Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure kitchen protocol is maintainedEnsure safe food handling is adhered to ie frozen foods are defrosted before usingTo ensure all meals are ready at the appropriate timeTo offer and prepare, if necessary, at least three main options for lunch each day ensuring that fresh vegetables are usedTo delegate appropriate work to the kitchen assistant as required and monitor that this has been carried out to a satisfactory levelTo ensure cleaning completed as per rotaPrepare fresh cakes for afternoon tea/special occasionsTo be a good all rounder within the kitchen team, stepping up and supporting cook when required.Adhere to COSH policies, procedures and documentation requirementsComplete relevant in house training in accordance with job descriptionCompletion of satisfactory DBS checks About you: Experience of working within a residential home is beneficialGood communicatorGood record keeping skills - documenting information in accordance to guidelinesFocusedGenuine passion for food and for our residents dietary requirements Please click the APPLY button to submit your CV for this role Candidates with experience or relevant job titles ofThe Kitchen Aide, Culinary Assistant, Food Preparation Assistant, Kitchen Helper, and Meal Prep Assistant may also be considered.
