SCUK Dealer Oversight & Compliance Controls Officer Country: United Kingdom Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of car dealerships throughout the United Kingdom. We are currently looking for a Dealer Oversight & Compliance Controls Officer to join us on a permanent basis working within the Regulatory Engagement and Reporting team. In this role you will contribute to second-line oversight activity across SCUK’s intermediary network — including dealers, brokers and introducers. You will focus on supporting the delivery of Line 2 assurance activities that assess the effectiveness of first-line controls, promote regulatory alignment, and drive good customer outcomes in line with the company’s conduct standards and Consumer Duty expectations. You will support your manager with intermediary oversight reviews, MI production, and day-to-day delivery of the assurance plan. This role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered. Please note the closing date for this role will be, end of day Monday 15th June 2026 Responsibilities will include: Supporting delivery of second-line assurance reviews across intermediary oversight activityContributing to the assessment of controls designed to manage dealer/broker riskPerforming control testing, data gathering and documentation of outcomes as part of Line 2 review activityAssisting with monitoring the effectiveness of onboarding, ongoing oversight, and exit processesSupporting identification and escalation of risks/control weaknesses to the ManagerContributing to the documentation and tracking of actions arising from reviews or external auditWorking within established frameworks to ensure accuracy, fairness and regulatory alignmentMaintaining awareness of FCA expectations (e.g. Consumer Duty, PRIN, SYSC, CONC)Cross team collaboration, sharing learning and best practices in order to contribute to overall team effectiveness, ensuring solutions are appropriateSupporting oversight reviews that assess how intermediary activity affects customer outcomesEnsuring customer treatment is assessed fairly during second-line control reviewsEscalating risks or issues where customer harm could occur as a result of intermediary activityContributing to Line 2 efforts to improve quality of customer-facing intermediary oversightHelping identify customer experience trends through data, MI, and assurance activityMaintaining a strong customer lens in day-to-day work, in line with Consumer DutyProviding accurate, timely support to the assurance plan across intermediary activitySupport the creation, development, and presentation of MI dashboards and reports to relevant forums (e.g. DOSC)Manipulating, analysing, & summarising data sets to support assurance/oversight activityMaintaining accurate records of review outcomes, actions, and observationsAssisting in identifying trends or data insights that can improve intermediary oversight and customer outcomesDemonstrate awareness of how regulatory conduct risks link to business activity We’re looking for someone with: Previous Regulatory work experience and/or Non-Financial Risk experienceA qualification in Non-Financial Risk and/or Compliance qualificationThe ability to handle and interpret structured data through Microsoft Excel to support assurance and MI reporting, and use other tools for data manipulation and insight generationStrong all round MS Office skills, including advanced skills in MS PowerPointConfidence to present at important committee meetingsA good understanding of the UK financial services industry, particularly motor finance and intermediary oversightAwareness of FCA regulatory frameworks including CONC, SYSC, PRIN and Consumer DutyExperience or familiarity with second-line monitoring, assurance, or controls testingClear written communication skills to document findings, produce evidence packs and contribute to internal reportingAwareness of intermediary risks across the dealer lifecycle (onboarding, oversight, exit), and who can demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in delivering reviews or control activitiesUnderstanding of risk and control frameworks, and their role in effective oversightAbility to build collaborative relationships across the function, and wider businessStrong interpersonal, and influencing skillsAbility to plan and organise own time within objectives We have a range of benefits available which include: A competitive salary of £40,000- £44,000 (dependent on skills & experience)27 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidaysAnnual bonus based on personal and company performance£500 flexible benefit allowanceGenerous pension contributionsEmployee assistance programmeSharesave schemeGym passes at a reduced rate for 3,000 gyms, leisure centres etc Other things you need to know: The hours for this role are 09:00-17:00 across Monday to Friday Inclusion At Santander we’re creating a thriving workplace where all colleagues feel they belong and are supported to succeed.
