**Free Parking**Hybrid Working**26 Days Holiday**About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced and driven Legal Cashiering Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role within their finance department. This position is responsible for overseeing a large cashiering team, ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day financial operations, and maintaining full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SRA).You will act as the key point of contact for all legal cashiering matters, while also supporting wider finance initiatives, driving process improvements, and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal CashieringOversee all aspects of legal cashiering in accordance with Solicitors Accounts RulesManage client and office account transactions, ensuring full regulatory complianceHandle conveyancing transactions including completions, SDLT payments, and client fund movementsPerform complex daily and monthly client and office bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies promptlyMaintain and monitor the Breach LogSystems & Process ImprovementIdentify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls, and efficienciesSupport system upgrades, implementations, and transitionsAct as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for systems impacting legal cashiering operationsStakeholder ManagementServe as a key finance contact for fee earners and senior stakeholdersLiaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies where requiredLeadershipLead and develop a large cashiering team, building a high-performing function aligned with company growthAssess skills gaps and develop training plans for team membersSupport wider finance leadership objectives and initiativesAbout YouWe are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.Essential Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in legal cashiering, ideally within a law firm environmentExcellent knowledge of finance processes including reconciliations and client accountsProven experience working within billing and credit control environmentsStrong attention to detail and high levels of accuracyAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly ExcelExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsAbility to manage workloads independently and meet tight deadlinesResilient with the confidence to challenge where appropriateA continuous improvement mindsetDesirableUnderstanding of SRA regulations and the legal regulatory environmentA relevant financial qualification (or qualified through experience)
