My client a boutique legal firm in the City are currently looking for a Legal Cashier to join their busy team.  Duties:  Monitor client account, check monies received and inform the relevant fee earners.Daily Bank reconciliation.Daily Bank reconciliations for Client and Office bank accounts.Daily balancing of controls to ensure all prior day’s transactions and postings are processed under the firm’s policies and the Solicitors account rules.Processing BACS, CHAPS, Faster and International Payments using online Banking System.Posting all incoming and outgoing transactions on to a case management system.Identifying and allocating Office receipts and payments.Client to Office Account transfers.Assisting in the management of aged debt.Processing bills.Uploading disbursements records on the case management system.Helping on various projects including inactive matters, residual balances, and file storage.Maintaining an organised electronic filing system.Resolving accounts queries.Working with fee earners on their ledger balances Experience required: Excellent communication skills.Attention to detail.Ability to prioritise sometimes conflicting deadlines.Competent in the use of MS Excel and Word.Systems oriented.Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.Ability to work flexibly, with high volumes and to tight deadlines.Good understanding of the Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR’s) and VAT Rules.Knowledge of AML Regulations. Ideal experience: Knowledge and experience in Practice Evolve Case management system.Some experience on double entry bookkeeping. Grafton Banks Finance are working with a large Global Law Firm to recruit a Senior Legal Cashier on a full-time permanent basis. Working in the London offices you will be reporting into the Head off Cashier and working within a busy accounts team.  You will have the ability to act as both client and office cashier and prioritise a voluminous and pressurised workload, whilst maintaining accuracy, attention to detail and compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Processing client and office payments - CHAPS, BACS and international payments via the firm's online banking portalsIdentifying and processing electronic receipts into the client and office accounts in multiple currencies - ensuring prompt and accurate allocation, including identification of receipts of client monies into the office account in accordance with the SRA rules.Promptly sending communication to the relevant fee earners of monies received.
