Construction Lecturer
Reed Further Education are working with a college based in Lincoln who are looking for a lecturer in construction to join their international operations team and deliver an exceptional educational experience in construction programmes. This is a permanent position working 37 hours a week for 29 weeks a year. It is a term-time only position. A big percentage of the position the candidate will be based at a partnered education provider in China delivering on construction programmes to get students ready for progression to employment or higher education. The candidate will also be required to travel to the colleges campus in Lincoln as and when required. Please note due to Chinese visa regulation all applicants must be under the age of 60 and hold a degree level qualification in the subject area. Contract Type: Permanent Location: China (with travel required to Lincoln) Salary: £29,515 - £37,401 pro rata per annum Hours: Full-time, 37 hours, 29 weeks per year Day to Day of the Role: Deliver extraordinary teaching across Construction related programmes, including cost engineering, construction courses Level 3 - 5, and short courses in Project Management/Quantity Surveying.Act as Programme Coordinator for specific courses as required.Maintain learning, assessment, and teaching quality through critical self-reflection and collegial activity.Develop the curriculum and resources as part of a progressive team.Contribute to the student enrichment programme.Promote and develop the Equal Opportunities Policy.Maintain professional standards and expertise by undertaking relevant professional development.Uphold Health & Safety requirements and be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children where applicable. Required Skills & Qualifications: University or professional qualification in Construction or Civil Engineering at Level 6 or above.Level 4 teaching qualification or the willingness to obtain this within 1 year of employment.Assessor Awards qualified.Proven competence in teaching Construction or Civil Engineering related programmes.Experience or willingness to work outside the UK.Good organisational and planning skills.Flexibility regarding working environment/hours, including weekends and evenings when required.Appropriate level of IT skills (Word, PowerPoint) or willingness to undertake training.Must be under 60 years to meet current immigration requirements.
